Supriatno, M.Kes., MDSc., PhD, The event, which was held specifically for Dentist Professional program students in the 18th and 19th periods, aims to explore more deeply about dental health care in the elderly population, an important aspect of modern dental practice.The event took place in the Smart Classroom Lt. 2 FKG UMS on Saturday, June 22, 2024, starting at 08.00 WIB. The guest speaker was Prof. drg. Supriatno, M.Kes., MDSc., PhD, an experienced expert in the field who will explain about Geriatric Case Management.

Resource person Prof. drg. Supriatno, M.Kes., MDSc., PhD explained Geriatric Case Management refers to the process of diagnosis, treatment, and management of health conditions specific to the elderly population, which often have unique clinical challenges and characteristics. In the context of dentistry, geriatric case management focuses on dental health care that suits the needs and complex general health conditions of elderly patients. This includes a comprehensive oral evaluation, coordinated treatment planning with the rest of the health care team, and implementation of treatment strategies that are sensitive to the general health state and specific needs of the geriatric patient.
