Surakarta, January 30, 2024.The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) held the Dentist Professional Program Student Competency Exam (UKMP2DG) on January 28 and 29, 2024.This exam consists of two stages, Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), which are an important part in assessing the ability of prospective dentists.
However, this time FKG UMS could not carry out the UKMP2DG Exam, due to the lack of quota for students who were able to take the exam. In handling this situation, FKG UMS collaborated or entrusted participants from FKG UMS at UMY to facilitate a number of their students to be able to take the UKMP2DG CBT and OSCE exams. The students who were entrusted included 9 participants including, Shinta Putri Anggrahini, Mahera Perdana Kusuma, Fini Shal Sabilah Rahanyamtel, Ericha Zahra Mufida Diennya, Muhammad Rizka Ramadhan, Farras Alfatehah Madyananda Kharisma, Syafira Alma Raudhia, Wimmy Safaati Utsani, and Ramadhan Muhammad Noor Sritomo.
On the first day of the CBT exam on January 28, 2024, participants took the predetermined exam.All examinees each had to answer a number of exam questions covering knowledge in dentistry.
The second day, January 29, 2024, is the OSCE stage, where examinees come face-to-face with clinical situations that simulate dental cases. In this stage, they had to work on clinical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Each examinee alternates through various OSCE stations, where a number of central Supervisors and local supervisors assigned from other Universities monitor and assess the performance of all participants in explaining and simulating.
The Faculty of Dentistry UMS, hopes that the UKMP2DG Exam is an important stage in the formation of qualified dental candidates and can pass in a timely manner and no one repeats.
After the completion of the OSCE exam, the evaluation results will be processed immediately, and the announcement of the exam results is scheduled to be made in the coming weeks. The dental candidates will look forward to the results of this exam in the hope of continuing their journey in becoming competent medical professionals.
May the results of this exam be a milestone for the dental candidates of the UMS Faculty of Dentistry and a meaningful contribution to the world of dentistry.
