Surakarta, May 21, 2024 – The Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) again carried out the National Try Out Exam (TON) for professional students. However, in this period, the exam was not held on the UMS campus but at the Sultan Agung Islamic University (UNISSULA) Semarang. This is due to the limited number of examinees available at FKG UMS.
The TON exam consists of two types of exams, namely Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). The CBT exam will be held on May 27, 2024, while the OSCE exam is scheduled for May 28, 2024.
According to the Dean of FKG UMS, drg. Dendy Murdiyanto, MDSc, the decision to hold the exam at UNISSULA was taken to provide adequate facilities for the examinees. “We hope that with this cooperation, students can take the exam well and get maximum results,” he said.
A total of 14 FKG UMS professional students will take the TON exam period II. They consist of students who took the exam for the first time (first taker) and those who repeated the exam (retaker). It is hoped that through this exam activity, students can be better prepared for the upcoming Dentist Professional Program Student Competency Test (UKMP2DG).The implementation of the exam at UNISSULA also received a positive response from UNISSULA.
With the spirit of collaboration and careful preparation, it is hoped that the implementation of this TON exam can run smoothly and successfully, so that students can achieve the expected results and become competent and professional dentists.
