Friday, 22 December 2023 – The Faculty of Dentistry, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) organized a public lecture that discussed the interesting topic of “Certification and Marketing Regulations for Herbal Medicines”. This event was held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at the FKG UMS Smart Classroom.
The speaker in this public lecture was Agus Priyanto, M.Si., an expert in the field of drug regulation and herbal marketing. He has extensive experience and knowledge related to regulations governing the certification and marketing of herbal products in Indonesia.
The event was attended by students, lecturers, and related parties who have interest and involvement in the health sector, especially in the aspect of herbal medicines. This public lecture is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the applicable regulations and challenges in certification and marketing of herbal medicines in Indonesia.
In his remarks, Dean of FKG UMS drg. Dendy Murdiyanto, MDSc, stated that public lecture activities like this are a form of university commitment in providing insight to students and all participants related to the latest developments in various fields, not only in the field of dental health, but also related to creating herbal products that can be used in various elements of society.
This public lecture is also part of FKG UMS’ efforts to present quality speakers to provide inspiration and knowledge to the academic community. Through this activity, it is hoped that it can encourage interest and awareness of the importance of understanding the regulations and marketing process of herbal medicines in the community.
